Clinical Supervision & Coaching
35+ years’ experience across mental health, wellbeing & community services
Trauma-informed, independent, and reflective support
Brighton & Hove | Online across the UK
Business, Corporate & Commercial Sectors
I provide independent workplace coaching for staff, managers and supervisors across business, corporate and commercial sectors.
Coaching can support wellbeing, welfare, effectiveness and sustainable performance at work. It may be commissioned as part of staff support and development, or where an individual would benefit from additional independent support around work, wellbeing, health, neurodivergence, personal circumstances or changing responsibilities.
Support is tailored to the individual, their role and the purpose of the coaching. My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and inclusive, with clear professional boundaries and agreed arrangements around confidentiality and communication.
Workplace coaching can support people with:
- stress, overwhelm, burnout and managing pressure
- managing mental health alongside work and work demands
- productivity, prioritisation, organisation and task management
- executive functioning and neurodivergence at work
- confidence, imposter feelings and effectiveness in role
- communication and workplace relationships
- isolation, identity and belonging at work
- management, supervision and changing responsibilities
- difficult conversations, conflict or harmful workplace experiences
- discrimination, complaints, grievance or mediation-related processes
- return to work, organisational change or career transition
- personal circumstances that are affecting someone’s ability to work well or effectively
Coaching may be practical, reflective or developmental and can range from a single focused session to a defined period of support or longer-term coaching.
Supporting wellbeing and sustainable performance
Wellbeing and performance are often closely connected.
Difficulties with stress, health, neurodivergence, communication, executive functioning, personal circumstances or workplace relationships can affect confidence, productivity, decision-making and the ability to sustain work effectively.
Independent coaching provides space to understand what is happening, identify practical strategies, strengthen decision-making and develop ways of working that are realistic and sustainable.
Commissioning workplace coaching
Workplace coaching may be commissioned by HR or People & Culture teams, managers, supervisors, organisational leads or others responsible for staff wellbeing, welfare, development or performance.
Support may include:
- a single focused session
- a defined block of coaching
- ongoing workplace coaching
- employer-funded employee self-referral
- support linked to role development or changing responsibilities
- support during or following a difficult workplace experience
- wider coaching arrangements available across a workforce
Employers and individuals may agree broad workplace aims for the coaching and, where appropriate, agreed review points.
Detailed session content is not routinely shared with the employer. Any review or feedback arrangements are agreed in advance and are transparent to the individual receiving coaching.
Workplace coaching is not line management, disciplinary management, formal performance assessment, HR investigation, grievance or complaints investigation, formal mediation, occupational health assessment, therapy or legal advice. It can, however, support someone who is going through these processes by helping them reflect, prepare for conversations or meetings, manage the impact of what is happening and consider practical next steps.
