Workplace Coaching

Workplace coaching offers a confidential, independent space to explore what you want or need to change in your working life. It can support people working across community, health, social care, advocacy and support services, as well as those working in businesses, companies and corporate settings.

You may come with a specific challenge or goal, be returning to work or navigating organisational change or a career transition, or have a broader sense that something about work is not feeling manageable or sustainable. Coaching can help you understand what is getting in the way, clarify your priorities and find practical ways forward that reflect your circumstances and strengths.

My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and inclusive. Support is adapted to you, your role and the purpose of the coaching, with clear professional boundaries and agreed arrangements around confidentiality.

Sessions are guided by your priorities and may help you to:

  • manage stress, overwhelm and burnout, and support your wellbeing at work
  • navigate health, mental health, neurodivergence or personal circumstances alongside work, including access and support needs
  • develop practical approaches to executive functioning, organisation, prioritisation, task management, time and energy
  • strengthen confidence and professional identity, explore imposter feelings and recognise strengths and achievements
  • explore career paths, development and progression, including management, supervision or changing responsibilities
  • reflect on communication, workplace relationships, identity, belonging and isolation
  • prepare for difficult conversations, meetings or decisions, including those connected with conflict, discrimination or harmful workplace experiences
  • set realistic goals, review progress and develop sustainable ways of working and a healthier work–life balance

Wellbeing and effectiveness at work are closely connected. Coaching recognises that difficulties may arise from workplace conditions and relationships as well as individual circumstances. It provides space to consider what is within your control, what support or adjustments may be needed and what realistic next steps could look like.

How Coaching Works

Coaching may be practical, reflective or developmental. It can draw on deeper reflection about experience, identity, relationships or emotional impact, alongside developing goals and possible actions. The emphasis is agreed together and can change as your needs and circumstances develop.

Support can range from a single focused session to a defined block or ongoing support. It can be self-funded, commissioned by an employer or organisation or, where approved, funded through Access to Work.  Where support is commissioned, its purpose and any review or feedback arrangements are agreed in advance and are clear to you. Detailed session content is not routinely shared with the commissioning employer or organisation.

Workplace coaching can support you during difficult workplace experiences or formal processes, including grievances, complaints, disciplinary proceedings or mediation. It offers space to reflect, prepare for conversations or meetings, manage the emotional impact and consider practical next steps.

Coaching is not therapy, line management or formal performance assessment. It does not replace HR processes, investigations, formal mediation, occupational health assessment or legal advice.
