Contracts & Agreements
I have aimed to be as transparent and accessible as possible in setting out the support I offer and how I work. This is informed by my own experience of seeking professional support, including clinical supervision and coaching, as well as my experience commissioning external supervision and coaching for staff and teams in leadership and organisational roles.
I know how difficult it can be to find clear, accessible information when looking for the right support, whether as an individual or as an employer, and how frustrating it can feel when this information is missing or unclear.
This page sets out the agreements, boundaries, and safeguards that underpin my work, supporting accessible, ethical, transparent, and psychologically safe practice.

Practice Statements & Competency Frameworks
I offer two practice statements that set out my approach and ways of working in more detail.
Clinical Supervision Practice Statement This includes clinical supervision, reflective practice, and professional development coaching, which sit within a structured supervision framework informed by established reflective supervision models and focused on reflection, wellbeing, and ethical practice.
Clinical Supervision Competency Framework which outlines the professional standards underpinning my work in more detail.
Coaching Practice Statement This includes general coaching, as well as specialist areas of LGBTQ+ identity and wellbeing, neurodivergence, imposter feelings, trauma responses, and men’s work, aligned with a reflective, person-centred coaching approach.

Regulation & Professional Standards
Clinical supervision and coaching are not statutorily regulated professions in the UK, and the titles used within this work are not legally protected.
My practice is grounded in recognised professional standards, ethical frameworks, and established models drawn from clinical supervision, coaching, and reflective practice. This includes alignment with organisations such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, and European Mentoring and Coaching Council Global.
Across all areas of my work, I am committed to safe, ethical, and professionally accountable practice, supported through ongoing professional development, supervision, reflective practice, and clear working agreements.
I hold professional indemnity insurance, maintain an enhanced DBS check where relevant to the work undertaken, and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in line with UK data protection requirements.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)
For employer, commissioner, or externally funded clinical supervision work, a Service Level Agreement (SLA) may be established with the organisation, funding body, or commissioning service. This agreement outlines the practical and professional arrangements relating to the commissioned work, including areas such as frequency of sessions, reporting arrangements, communication, cancellations, safeguarding responsibilities, confidentiality boundaries, and payment terms.
Separate supervision or coaching agreements are also established directly with the supervisee. These agreements support a confidential, reflective, and professionally safe working relationship, while clarifying areas such as confidentiality, boundaries, record keeping, expectations, and the purpose of the work.
Where appropriate, this may include clinical supervision, reflective practice, or professional development coaching delivered within an independent and trauma-informed framework.

Confidentiality & Privacy
Confidentiality is a core principle of supervision and coaching. It is maintained except where there is a safeguarding concern, risk of harm, or a legal obligation to disclose information. In such situations, any action will, wherever possible, be discussed with you and taken transparently, with a focus on supporting you to address the concern directly.
If supervision is funded or arranged by your employer, a Service Level Agreement (SLA) is in place which clearly sets out confidentiality arrangements. I do not share personal or identifiable information without your consent unless there is a safeguarding or legal requirement.
Where required for organisational or funding purposes, I may provide confirmation of attendance and, where agreed, a brief summary of non-personal, non-identifying professional themes. This will never include personal, sensitive, or identifiable information, or details of session content. Supervision is not a reporting mechanism, and the content of sessions remains confidential within the agreed boundaries outlined above.
All personal data and records are held securely and confidentially in line with UK GDPR and data protection principles. Further information about record keeping, data retention, and your rights is set out elsewhere in this agreement.

Boundaries & Ethics
Supervision and coaching are professional, collaborative working relationships. They are not a substitute for therapy, although the work can feel therapeutic in its impact, particularly given my background in mental health and trauma-informed practice. Where personal or emotional issues arise, these are explored reflectively and with care where relevant to wellbeing and professional functioning. Where support needs fall outside the scope of supervision or coaching, this will be discussed and appropriate support signposted.
My practice is guided by clear ethical boundaries, transparency, and person-centred, trauma-informed principles, with a strong commitment to psychological safety, fairness, respect, and accountability. This includes holding responsibility for safe, ethical practice in relation to the practitioner, the people and communities they support, and the organisational context in which they work.
This includes careful consideration of roles, relationships, and potential conflicts of interest. Where prior connections, organisational roles (such as line management), or changes in the nature of our work arise (for example, moving between supervision and coaching), these are addressed openly and transparently to maintain clarity, appropriate boundaries, and ethical practice over time.
I am mindful of the realities of community, voluntary, and specialist sectors, including pressures linked to funding, workload, risk, and values-driven work. My approach is shaped by a strong commitment to ethical, reflective, and sustainable practice.
Practical arrangements relating to fees, reduced-rate options, accessibility, confidentiality, and record keeping are set out elsewhere in this agreement.

Access & Inclusion
I am committed to offering accessible and inclusive support wherever reasonably possible within the scope of my practice. I recognise that people experience different barriers to access, including those linked to disability, mental health, neurodivergence, physical or long-term health, language, caring responsibilities, trauma, identity, class and socio-economic circumstances, financial constraints, and work demands.
Sessions are currently offered online, with limited in-person availability by arrangement where appropriate.
Where financial access is a concern, a small number of reduced-fee sessions may be available, subject to discussion and capacity.
If you have access needs or would like to discuss adjustments, you are welcome to raise this at enquiry or at any point during our work together.
I will always aim to respond with care, honesty, and transparency about what I can reasonably offer. This can include adjustments related to communication pace, processing time, sensory needs, or session structure, where these support access and participation.
I am also mindful that language itself can be a barrier. I aim to use clear, accessible language wherever possible and to explain terms where they may not be familiar.
For more information about the language I use, please see my guide on Language & Meaning

Safeguarding
Your safety and the safety of others are taken seriously. If concerns arise about risk of harm, safeguarding, or wellbeing, I may need to take appropriate action to help keep people safe. This may include sharing relevant information with appropriate services or safeguarding leads.
Wherever possible, this will be discussed with you openly, with a preference to work in partnership and support you to take appropriate action yourself.
If you are receiving supervision funded or arranged by your employer, and a safeguarding concern relates to your role or place of work, I may need to share relevant information with your organisation or the appropriate safeguarding lead. Any information shared will be proportionate, necessary, and handled with care.

Coaching is usually self-referred and self-funded, unless explicitly agreed as part of an employer-funded clinical supervision arrangement.
Sessions are charged at the rates shown in the:
Payment terms vary depending on whether sessions are self-funded or employer-funded and will be clearly agreed in advance.
Any additional work outside standard sessions (such as reports, extended liaison, consultancy, service development, or bespoke training) will be discussed and costed separately, based on scope, time, and requirements.
Cancellations
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule; otherwise, the session will be charged in full.
Fee increases and communication
I do not plan automatic fee increases. Any changes would be considered carefully, communicated transparently, and with accessibility in mind.

Questions, Feedback & Review
Feedback is always welcomed and valued. It helps ensure the support you receive is right for you and informs my learning and the ongoing development of my practice. You are encouraged to share what is helpful, as well as anything that does not feel quite right.
Regular review helps keep our work collaborative, responsive, and focused on what you need. Questions are always welcome, and you may also wish to visit my FAQs page for further information.
If something doesn’t feel right, you are encouraged to raise this. I have a clear and respectful process for responding to concerns or complaints, which I will share with you on request.
