Life Coaching
Creating space for reflection, clarity, and meaningful change
Coaching offers a confidential, supportive space to think clearly, explore what matters to you and find ways forward. It can support personal, practical or professional matters, including wellbeing, confidence, relationships, identity and development, whether you have a particular goal or want to understand what you need to change.
You may be facing a decision, feeling overwhelmed or unable to move forward, looking for motivation, navigating a transition or wanting to build on something that is going well. You might want to understand yourself more fully, strengthen relationships, develop confidence or make everyday life feel more manageable.
Coaching may be helpful if you want to:
- clarify what you want to achieve, identify your priorities and take steps towards your personal or professional goals
- strengthen confidence, assertiveness, self-acceptance, self-worth and boundaries
- recognise strengths, achievements and opportunities for development
- explore beliefs, habits or avoidance that may make change difficult
- make sense of challenges, identify obstacles and develop manageable steps and practical strategies
- reflect on relationships, communication, identity and belonging
- navigate change, transition, loss or uncertainty
- support wellbeing and develop ways of living and working that feel healthier, more satisfying or more sustainable
My coaching approach is reflective, strengths-based, person-centred, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming, and grounded in real-world experience. I draw on coaching principles and frameworks, alongside mentoring where helpful. Your own understanding and ideas remain central, with the option to draw on my experience for perspective, reassurance or sense-checking.
We may explore how earlier experiences have shaped beliefs about yourself and what feels possible. This can help you recognise patterns, understand emotional responses and consider what supports or gets in the way of change. We can also explore how your current circumstances affect your options and what practical support might help.
Reflection can lead to realistic actions, new ways of approaching a situation or greater clarity about what you need. We can try out practical strategies, review what helps and adapt as you go, recognising progress and achievements along the way.
Support can range from a single focused session to a defined block or ongoing coaching. Coaching is not therapy, and if a different kind of support would be more appropriate, we can consider this together.
If your main focus is your working life, workplace coaching can support development, wellbeing, access needs and sustainable ways of working. It can be self-funded, commissioned by an employer or organisation or, where approved, funded through Access to Work. Find out more about Access to Work
