Reflective Team Support
Supporting the people behind the practice

Reflective Team Support provides facilitated, psychologically safe reflective spaces where teams can learn from experience, strengthen relationships, support one another and continue developing personally and professionally.

Whether supporting frontline practitioners, leadership teams, employee networks or multidisciplinary teams, the aim remains the same:

Helping people and teams think well, work well together, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and shared understanding.

Reflective Team Support
Supporting the people behind the practice

Teams benefit from dedicated opportunities to pause, think together and learn from experience. Reflective Team Support creates facilitated, psychologically safe spaces where people can reflect openly, strengthen relationships, share ideas, learn from one another and continue developing together.

Some teams use Reflective Team Support as part of their ongoing development, while others seek it during periods of change, increasing complexity or following significant events. Every team is different, and the work people do, the relationships within the team and the organisational context all influence the type of reflective space that is likely to be most helpful.

Rather than offering a standard programme of group supervision, I work collaboratively with teams and organisations to design reflective spaces that best fit the people, the work and the purpose of the session.

Sessions may draw upon Clinical Supervision, Reflective Practice, Restorative Approaches, Peer Support and Team Development, alongside coaching principles, trauma-informed practice, psychoeducational approaches and strengths-based practice.

Reflective Team Support may help teams to......

(Depending on the purpose of the reflective space)

  • Pause, reflect and reconnect as a team.
  • Share experiences, strengthen relationships and build a culture of trust, inclusion and psychological safety.
  • Review practice, strengthen accountability and reconnect with shared values, priorities and purpose.
  • Recognise strengths, celebrate successes and acknowledge challenges together.
  • Explore identity, lived experience and belonging within professional and team contexts.
  • Strengthen wellbeing, resilience and sustainable ways of working, including responding to pressure, workload and the emotional impact of the work.
  • Navigate change, complexity and uncertainty, while identifying practical ways forward together.

My Approach

I believe there is no single "right" model of reflective support.

Rather than offering a standard programme of group supervision, I work collaboratively with organisations to develop reflective support that best fits the people, the work and the purpose of the session. Depending on the team's needs, the focus may be restorative, developmental, reflective or responsive to significant events or organisational change.

Getting Started

Reflective Team Support can be commissioned as a one-off facilitated session, a short-term programme or ongoing support. Every commission begins with a collaborative scoping conversation to ensure the reflective space is designed around the needs of the people, the work and the organisation.
